Finnish gambling operator Atlands Penningautomatforening (PAF) has announced that it has signed an internet poker agreement with Microgaming, the Isle of Man based leading online gaming software and poker network provider.
In terms of the agreement, PAF, one of the largest online gambling operators for the Scandinavian market will be joining the Microgaming Poker Network toward the beginning of next year.
PAF who currently holds deals with Ongame Network Limited and Boss Media AB has revealed that the deal with the Microgaming Poker Network was entered into in order to bring “added value” to its customers.
Anders Wiklund, Deputy Chief Executive Officer for PAF said that playing poker at PAF should make players feel as though they are playing among friends. Wiklund added that the poker site at PAF.com will be renewed at the beginning of next year after which playing will become easier and the feeling of playing among friends strengthened. PAF will also be modifying the surroundings in order to accommodate those who are not familiar with poker.
PAF was founded in 1966 and is a unique gaming operator that has been set up by a group of charitable organizations that donates all of its profits to good causes on the Aland Islands. Among the beneficiaries are the jurisdiction’s branches of Save the Children and Red Cross as well as several more local causes.
Lydia Melton, Network Games Head for Microgaming, said that the new deal was “great news” and that they were looking forward to working with such a unique operator. She added that they are confident that the Microgaming Poker Network will be in a position to meet all of PAF’s requirements.
