The growth of online gambling is so massive that not online gaming operators but those sectors who provide these operators services are also growing and one of them is legal consultancy firms who have now been growing like never before.
Some of the top notch legal firms have now their independent iGaming divisions with a presence in almost everywhere where online betting and gambling is popular and this is something which is luring more legal service providers to enter into this money rolling market which is like a new sector for them. North American legal firm Segev LLP is one such form who has now planned to expand its iGaming arms hence expanded its iGaming division as it seeks a growth in the US market. For this expansion they have also hired the services of two new qualified gamming brains: US-qualified attorneys Eric Stein and Mark Balestra to its iGaming team. This is going to be a first expansion plan in recent years by the Vancouver-headquartered company since earlier they never gave importance to the iGaming divisions which has been there for quite some time but after looking at the positive atmosphere in the US for a legalized online gambling market, they could have been getting themselves prepared.
If we talk about both the new recruits, Balestra, who has authored the book The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Online Gambling, will be based in Segev’s new St. Louis, Missouri, office. While Stein will service clients in Colorado, Illinois and the Pacific Northwest and this way Segev tries to have its presence in entire region with more expansion plans in the pipeline.
Experts are calling it a good move by company since the pair has more than 40 years’ experience practicing law and according to the Segev their arrival will enhance its iGaming division, which deals with corporate, commercial, IP commercialisation, M&A, private equity finance, public markets finance, regulatory and compliance issues. Founding partner of Segev LLP, Ron Segev, said about the new brains joining them, “I am extremely pleased to welcome Eric and Mark to the team. They enhance what is an already highly competent and experienced practice group.
“This is a time of change across the gambling sector, and it is important that operators in the US and Canada have legal counsel that they can rely upon. Segev LLP has the capacity to be a one-stop shop for all their needs.”
