One of the largest online groups of gambling enterprises, 888 Holdings, has signed a deal with the Irish low budget airline Ryanair in terms of which an online gambling platform will be rolled out on the budget airline’s website offering customers an opportunity to win flight vouchers.
Users of the new 888 gambling platform will also have a chance to enjoy casino games, poker, bingo, sports betting and ongoing tournaments while making bets with online chips through the Ryanair website.
According to Stephen McNamaras, communications director at Ryanair, the airline already delivers some of the lowest airfares in Europe and the deal with 888 Holdings will see them continue to provide the lowest fares to its 80 million passengers and at the same time deliver the best online gaming entertainment to their yearly half a billion visitors to its website.
McNamaras added that both gaming and travel fans are bound to be attracted to the world’s first poker tournaments that will offer Ryanair flight vouchers as prizes.
Ryanair was established in 1985 and operates close to 300 Boeing 737-800 crafts. The low cost airline expanded swiftly since 1997 after the deregulation of Europe’s aviation industry. The airline’s net profits grew from EURO 48 million in 1998 to EURO 339 million in 2010.
888 Holdings operates several online platforms that include 888 Bingo, 888 Casino, 888 Sport, 888 Ladies Bingo and Reef Club Casino. 888.com is operated by 888 Holdings which is listed on the London Stock Exchange and operates under the gambling laws of Gibraltar.
