Playtech Signs Content Deal with Warner Bros. Consumer Products, on behalf of DC Entertainment

Playtech, the world’s leading gaming content, software, systems and services supplier, has revealed that it has signed a multi-year, exclusive branded games content deal with Warner Bros. Consumer Products, on behalf of DC Entertainment in terms of which it will license and develop a vast catalogue of iconic DC-branded film and television properties into leading Omni-channel casino games.

Playtech will develop a series of Omni-channel DC-branded slot, roulette and bingo games based on Warner Bros. Pictures’ titles such as Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Suicide Squad, The Dark Knight Trilogy and the upcoming action adventure Justice League.

The new partnership will see the Playtech-DC-branded games content being brought to retail terminals in the United Kingdom, Finland, Norway, Italy and the newly regulated Romanian market. The terminal slot games will include DC’s 1960’s Batman Classic TV series and the Warner Bros. films Green Lantern (2011), Superman (1978), Superman II (1980) and Man of Steel (2013).

Each of the new games will be linked to the DC Super Heroes Progressive Jackpot while a series of tiered jackpots will also be available to players that will see lucrative prize payouts as well as a huge range of prizes across a selection of win levels.

Mor Weizer, CEO at Playtech, commented that this is a hugely significant deal for Playtech and they are thrilled to have a wider-reaching exclusive DC film and TV-branded content licensing agreement with Warner Bros. Consumer Products. He added that they have had phenomenal feedback from their licensees based on the high-quality and caliber of the DC-branded games rolled out in 2016.
