A lucky New Zealand resident, managed to win a massive amount of €6,355,463.98 (NZ$10.1m) while wagering on Microgaming’s Mega Moolah progressive slot game at Casinoland.com, a Malta-licensed online casino operator.
This latest win is among the largest ever paid out by Microgaming’s progressive jackpot network and follows a jackpot win of €6.9m in April of this year.
The mega jackpot was hit by 27-year old Rawiri Pou on Friday, 17th June 2016 who will receive the win in a lump sum, and not as an annuity.
Microgaming’s progressive network currently holds the Guinness World Records title for the “largest jackpot payout in an online slot machine game”, namely £13.2m to a Betway Casino customer last year and has now paid out in excess of €595 million.
Rawiri Pou, the winner of the jackpot, commented on his massive win by saying that he still cannot believe that this is real. He added that he has been in shock since he won and it is literally going to change his life. Pou went on to say that there is so much that he wants to do with this money and that it could not have come at a better time.
According to a spokesperson for Casinoland, they are absolutely thrilled for Rawiri as it is a life changing amount of money and they wish him the very best for the future.
