Microgaming is thrilled to announce that it has been chosen to be the title sponsor for the Isle of Man Athletic Association’s (IOMAA) Winter Cross Country League as well as the Isle of Man Cross Country Championship.
The world’s largest provider of online gaming software’s multi-year sponsorship will include the League and the Championship for a period of three seasons.
The winter leagues runs from October to February and involves five competition rounds which are held at different locations across the island with each round expected to attract many runners. Entrance is open to all ages ranging from 7 to 70.
David Pryke, Chairman of the Isle of Man Athletic Association, said that despite the weather conditions, a record number of athletes took part in the Isle of Man Athletic Association’s cross country events last winter. Pryke added that they are looking forward to even more competitors taking part this coming season as it provides a fantastic training ground for all athletes and provides very competitive competition for all age groups. Pryke said that they welcomed the opportunity to work with Microgaming in promoting the event and added that they are very grateful for their support.
Chief Executive Officer of Microgaming, Roger Raatgever, said that they are excited to be sponsoring the Isle of Man Athletic Association’s Winter Cross Country League and Championship. Raatgever added that they are thrilled to see so many people participating in the cross country calendar of events and they wish all the competitors the best of luck with the coming season.
The winter events are due to commence on Sunday, 21 October, 2012.
