Leading online gaming software provider, Microgaming, has announced that it has released its first games in the Swedish market. This follows an agreement signed between Microgaming and Genera Networks, the gaming platform provider in the regulated Swedish.
Genera will be supplying Kombispel , previously A-lotterierna and the first lottery operator to launch on Genera’s BingoFair online gaming platform last month, with Microgaming’s bingo, lottery games and scratchcards.
A spokesperson for Microgaming revealed that this is the first time that the online gaming software provider has entered into an arrangement with a member of the World Lottery Association (WLA) and that this should result in Microgaming building the foundation to a new network. He added that operators of Genera Networks will have the opportunity to access a new world of games through Microgaming’s portfolio of products as a result of the union of these key industry players.
The director of Genera Networks, Rickard Stromberg, said that when they were looking for a company to work with, Microgaming was the natural fit as its content is world renowned and they are eager to see what response Swedish players will have to this. He added that their existing users are provided with access to a huge range or new products and expertise as a result of the agreement which will also allow them to expand their operations and attract new players.
The Chief Executive of Microgaming, Roger Raatgever, said that the agreement will provide them with a portal into the Swedish market and that it will be the first time that it will be entering this market. Raatgever added that their content is already proving to be very popular with Swedish players.
