FSB Tech, a leading sports book supplier, has entered into a deal in terms of which it will work with BetVictor founder Victor Chandler when he returns to the iGaming industry after a three-year hiatus to launch Bet Lion, a new brand that will be powered by the supplier.
Chandler’s Bet Lion is schedule to go live this August and will focus on the East African region.
According to Chandler, the East African market is already showing huge growth and smartphone penetration is much higher than many realize and with that has come an excellence in micro-payments.
The launch of Bet Lion will see the industry pioneer return to the industry after leaving the company he founded when full ownership of BetVictor was acquired by Michael Tabor for an undisclosed sum in May of 2014.
The company, that was originally named Victor Chandler after his grandfather, was led by Chandler since 1974 when he was a racecourse owner and thereafter turned it into gambling. In 1998, it became the first operator to move to Gibraltar.
Chandler’s Bet Lion venture will be powered by FSB Tech. The sports book supplier is already active in Africa through BetYetu in Kenya and Mkekabet in Tanzania.
Richard Thorp, a Business Development Director at FSB Tech, commented on the partnership by saying that it is great to be working in a region that has so much potential, especially with somebody who has such a clear passion for and understanding of the betting and gaming business.
