A couple from Minnesota is endeavoring to use card games in order to bring families together on the internet.
The Minnesota couple, Bruce and Michelle Nord, has announced that they will be launching a new online card playing website titled MyKinPlay and that by keeping the action just for fun, they will be skirting the US legal perils.
The couple feels that families can enjoy an “ultimate family experience” by being brought together through card games on the site. Family and friends can enjoy a selection of games for fun on a secure website. This would also help to build brand and player base in anticipation of US or state legislation.
According to the Nords, players will have an opportunity to interact with each other almost as if they were in the same room, while in a private, secure online environment.
Michelle Nord revealed that she has a very large and close family and that when they get together they spend many hours playing card and dice games. However, her older siblings are retiring and are more dispersed physically and she was unable to find a website that comes close to the “Saturday night cards with the buddies” kind of atmosphere that would enable them all to stay connected, even though there are physically apart. Michelle added that this was her inspiration for Mykin Play.
Nord said that it is still not clear what software will be used and that the site has been designed for gamers of all ages and skills.
